Whether you are on Facebook or face to face, it matters how you communicate with others. Communication is the most powerful tool for building business and personal relationships. Our ability to influence people is directly related to how we communicate. Women farmers know how to produce their product. But sometimes a communication style makes it difficult to sell that product, motivate an employee, convince a lender or landlord or to get along with family members. Teaching women farmers how to “pull out” personality traits to change as the situation changes is an innovative way to manage risk. Find out how technology and facilitated discussions simultaneously connect women in five states to learn these skills. Case studies will demonstrate how to involve your audience to teach these skills. The “take away” messages stress the importance of taking the time to discover your communication style and learning how to apply it to a given situation to manage, motive and influence people.
