Reaching Military Veterans through Beginning Farmer and Rancher Production and Financial Risk Management Education

Summary
All new and beginning farmers and ranchers face risks related to production, financial management, health, among many others. Veterans and other underserved populations are especially at risk for challenges faced during the early years of establishing a new farm operation. This poster highlights the impact of an ongoing beginning farmer training program in Oklahoma and a successful multi-agency partnership to support veterans as they navigate the risks associated with establishing new farm and ranch operations.
