Summary
Short of using professional tax preparation software, it can be difficult to determine some possible tax and financial management strategies without some other type of assistance. Tax and financial management is an important piece of risk management mitigation that needs to be utilized to assist a farmer or rancher in making a variety of management decisions for the present and near future. This presentation will showcase a developed tax estimator tool as part of a USDA FSA project, discuss its limitations and a variety of possible tax management strategies and provide some points on potential financial management to consider.
