Summary

Course was developed to help women understand financial statements used in the farming operation. Net worth statements, cash and accrual income statements, cash flows and cash flow budgets, financial ratios, family budgets, income tax accounting and accounting software were all discussed and reviewed. Participants had hands-on experience preparing net worth statements and accrual income statements. Course was offered virtual as well as face-to-face. A simulated farm was used to work through the various financial reports.
