Finances and the Farm - A New Online Learning Opportunity

Summary
Finances and the Farm was originally launched in 2020, after a series of hybrid workshops around the state of Kansas reached 685 participants in 32 locations. In response to the demand and the pandemic requiring different learning avenues, an online asynchronous class was created from the curricula. A 2023 NC-ERME grant was received to revamp the class using professional video services and instructional designers who developed interactive games to reinforce content on recordkeeping, balance sheets, income statements, enterprise budgeting, and cash flow modules. The new version of the class was launched Jan. 1, 2024 and is available to anyone across the country and caters to all types of agricultural operations.
